A Northern Adventure

I went to the UP this weekend. If you've been stalking me on Facebook, you already know the story. I went to CMU, picked up a friend, saved am injured & abandoned cat, then hit the road with only some maps and went exploring.

We didn't know where we were going, and that made it all the more fun. We ended up driving along the coast of Lake Michigan, then up to Lake Superior (after a 3 hour visit to the hospital because I stepped on a nail during one of our many side-trip/side-of-the-road photoshoots). We ended up driving all the way to Marquette, Mich., which turned out to be one of the coolest towns ever! The natural beauty of the area was unbelivable, and the NMU college scene wasn't bad either!

total trip time: 2 days. total trip miles: 800. totally worth it.

I L-O-V-E the shots of Marquette Island and the sunset photos! Fish eye lens can be fun, especially when you are photographing landscapes! Michigan definitely does have some true beauty.
I love that cliff, used to jump off it all the time.
